BASEBALL/SOFTBALL:
Meetings:
Baseball meetings are held the second Sunday of every month at the CYS office from 6 pm to 8 pm. Due to the tryout dates, the March meeting will be held on the 7th.
Registration:
Registration officially begins on February 10th. Registrations will be accepted every Wednesday night from 6 pm to 8 pm at the CYS office. Registrations will also be accepted at baseball tryouts (see below for dates and times). The Baseball/Softball flyer and fundraising flyers will be sent out to schools the week of February 1st. Click on "documents" to the left to download the flyer which lists fees and dates. This website will be updated regularly to communicate items that are not fully explained on the flyers.
Please remeber that players may not attend tryouts unless they have signed up and have paid.
Mandatory Coaches Meeting:
The mandatory coaches meeting will be held on March 12th from 6-8 pm at Mendi's Pizza. If you cannot attend, you need to send someone in your place.
Tryouts:
Please be reminded that players are not elligible to attend tryouts unless they have been registered and payment has been made.

Tryouts for baseball are scheduled this year for March 13/14 (for Rookies and Minors) at the Western Oregon University new PE Bldg. Players with last names beginning in A-M are to attend the Saturday tryout and O-Z on Sunday. Tryout times for Minors will be from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday and 8:00 am to 10:30 am on Sunday, and Rookies will be from 8:00 am to 10:30 on Saturday and 10:30 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday.
Tryouts for JBO are scheduled this year for March 20/21 at the Western Oregon University new PE Bldg. Players with last names beginning in A-M are to attend the Saturday tryout and O-Z on Sunday. Tryout times for Junior JBO will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 am on Saturday and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, and Senior JBO will be from 12:00 pm to 4:00 on Saturday and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Sunday.
All players shall only attend one tryout session for their age group.
Please park in Lot "G" (west of the football stadium) if you do not want to be ticketed.
Tentatively tryouts for softball for all ages are April 3rd 9-12. 8u 9-10, 10u 10-11 and 12u 11-12. Exact times and locations for baseball are still being discussed, but the website will be updated regulary so stay tuned for more information. Tryouts are mandatory. Players that do not attend tryouts will be placed on teams based on team need.
Practices:
Teams are allowed to practice after spring break. You should receive a call from your coach by the end of March to discuss practice days/times. If you do not get contacted, please let us know.
Batting Practice:
We are trying to set up times that kids can attend regular batting practice (baseball only). Stay tuned for dates and times.
Field Days:
Exact dates have not been identified at this time.

We are in need of Division Coordinators, Coaches, and other positions. Your help would greatly benefit the program.
Baseball Apparel:
Baseball hats and sweatshirts are available for purchase upon request by contacting Brian Vinson.
Additional Information:
We are expecting a large turnout at the Junior JBO level this year. We expect to have 5-6 teams. If this occurs, we will establish a Federal Team.
